What We Do

The Morrao Association focuses on “THINK GLOBAR, ACT LOCAL” that is, the Development of local communities.

The association intends to carry out the following activities: professional, scientific and technical, cultural and recreational, educational, social solidarity, conviviality and social promotion, protection of environment, promotion and community development. MORRAO recommends the following objectives:

• Boost local development processes through training, promoting productive development and participatory consultation of local actors, leading the community to refocus on itself and its potential, blossoming into new possibilities.

• The structure of a territory can enhance its growth by promoting the development of people and their knowledge.

• Promotion of social entrepreneurship, linking the territory and products to new forms of sustainability.

• Sustainable construction of endogenous concepts that can produce a globalisation effect consistent.

• Inclusion of individuals in situations of social/economic/financial alarm in a context of emancipation through entrepreneurship.

• Creation of tools for (inter)personal development in the territory(ies).

• Valuing endogenous products and their potential for export and helping to create employment and companies;

• Valuing collaborative work as a form of training and implementation of methods.

• Identification of know-how: Exploration and understanding of the territory.

• Mapping: Creation of a knowledge map and structuring of work material possible for the territorial context.
